    Case feeder for a 550

It was my understanding (a few years back) that the 550 case feed was not designed to work with rifle cases. I have a 650 and have had no issues with it feeding pistol and rifle cases.

45 acp out of battery on rounds

Increase your crimp (not really crimp, just takes the bell out) just a bit.

    Exploding cartridge

Does the primer show any signs of over-pressure? Notice the burn/dark marks on the case and not bright shinny (maybe brass wasn't real shinny going in)? Seems to indicate fired a little out of battery, significantly undersized case/oversized chamber, or something along those lines preventing...

Does anyone have experience using Dillon RF 100 primer tube loader?

I'm less than impressed with mine. I've been working with Dillon for about two years, and have even sent it back to Dillon twice. It's better than it's ever been, but still flips about 3 out of every 100 primers. I've pretty much given up on it, will probably put it up for sale soon. Must...

    Primer tube loaders

I've got the Dillon model, and just not very pleased. At best flips one or two out of every 100, but usually more. Of course you don't know they flipped until you're inspecting finished rounds. Dillon has sent me parts and have even sent it back to Dillon twice, but it's about as good as they...

    Weird off set sizing issue

Looks like possibly the wrong top punch. Although the size/shape of the top punch needs to be close to that of the bullet, it needs to apply pressure on the very top of bullet. Looks like the bullet is being pushed by the sides causing the bullet not to go into the sizer straight.

    .380 Headstamp

I load a lot of .380 of various head stamps including "I" (even some I can't identify) and have never run into the issue you describe. However, I'm using a carbide die (Dillion which typically sizes a little smaller than most, and have a set of Lee carbide also). So, I'm thinking maybe...

    Question on Dillon 550/650

In short: 650 has auto indexing (less chance of error for me) Dillon told me (couple of years back) the 550 case feeder wouldn't handle rifle 650 has a station for powder check die 650 caliber changes are more expensive Either one is top notch quality, and outstanding customer support...

Crimped bullet rotates in the case!

RG1 is on the right track. I've had this same problem with 45 ACP and Winchester brass. I moved away from a RCBS sizer die to Dillion and all my problems went away. I've done a bit of non-scientific testing, and have found that the RCBS sizer dies vary a bit (a friends RCBS die sizes about...

    Bullet Seating issue?

Check for burrs on the rim the extractor may have left from the previous firing. Seems like this happens with 45 ACP more than others. When I have a round that doesn't fit, I usually start it in the case gauge backwards just to make sure the rim fit in the gauge.
