    .22 Caliber penetration

I wouldn't use that as a test for anything. If one studies statistics on self defense stories, most "bad guys" are running at the presentation/firing of a weapon. It won't make any difference what the caliber is. I'd fight anyone with 10 or 11 rounds of 22 in them.

    Vote for the Best gun.

Out of the two options given, one would be inclined to vote Glock but I have a hard time voting because it isn't the best gun, even though they are good.

Deaths Due to Self Defense have Tripled

There has to be fewer bad guys with every one that gets shot unless the country is growing them faster than they are being shot. I think that was his point.

My NIB Colt, is not so NIB

It's an AR not a museum piece. Unless you were going to leave it in the box and never use it, get over it. The $1000 might be a lot to you, but it is near the bottom of what an AR will sell for. This is very common. I had a customer pick up a new Smith & Wesson revolver yesterday. His...

Anyone with experience with both Mosquito and M&P22

Instead of buying a 22/45 that has a grip angle of a 1911 but is a lousy Ruger, why not buy a 1911 22? They cost about the same, are fun to shoot, fairly accurate, and function well.

Time to buy a Wolf License!

That is an easy statement to make when living in Georgia. It isn't so easy when the government buys wolves from Canada that are much larger than the native wolves that were here and protects them to the point that every other game animal is in danger. What we have is far from healthy and it's...

Anyone with experience with both Mosquito and M&P22

I don't like the rear sight on the M&P 22 but is a nice shooting 22 and I would think it will out shoot the mosquito.

my review of the KelTec KSG shotgun

The rat might not be able to give the ksg a positive review but I can. You guys above are correct. One can find whatever answer one wants on the internet. This might not be a starter gun, but it is a serious weapon in the hands of the skilled gunman. My wife plans on shooting my ksg tomorrow...

    KelTec KSG

I love it. I would like to see some changes but it works great. A full length tactical shotgun length barrel in a very short very maneuverable firearm that is capable of putting out a lot lead very quickly. I have customers and friends that want mine but it's not for sale.

    Torn between 1911's

Dan Wessons are made to very tight tolerances and yet function very nicely. You won't buy a new one for $1200. The colts aren't as tight yet they fumction and shoot nicely. Kimber makes some pretty firarms but I don't agree with an earlier post that Kimber takes care of their customers well...

    Which high capacity .45?

Others have said it, they are all good. The FN is a great functioning firearm.

    Davidson's GuaranteeD 2nd hand...?

What is protocol? Well, the Davidsons warranty repeatedly says it is only for the original purchaser. Second, it is clearly stated that the firearm is to be returned to the retailer where the firearm was purchased. If the consumer is a good customer of the retail store, rules might get bent...

    Davidson's GuaranteeD 2nd hand...?

Jon, you are correct. I've been seeing more issues with Rugers and Smiths. It seems that neither of these companies are able to step up production to keep up with the current gun market given their large variety of firearms. It's bad when the trusty revolver doesn't work right out of the box.

    Davidson's GuaranteeD 2nd hand...?

Danez, you are really worked up. Since I deal with Davidson's on a daily basis and it was just a couple of weeks ago that I was at Davidson's returning some guns under warranty, I would say I have a fair amount of experience. And since they work through retail gun stores my advice was for him...

    Davidson's GuaranteeD 2nd hand...?

You asked for people who have experience with Davidson's warranty program and I responded and I guess you ignored it. I have four guns going back to Davidson's as I type this. They were my customers and there were no questions asked about original purchaser but they are guns that I bought from...
