Relatively new to reloading and am curious if cases from remanufactured ammo can be reloaded and whether it is advisable to do so.
I have about 50 remanufactured, once-fired (by me) .44mag cases that pass initial inspection and show no signs of non-reloadability.
Curious of some more...
Looking to get an ID on this bayonet, I believe it to be for a German Gewehr 98 pattern rifle, but there seems to be several variations that don't quite look like this one when I search for Seitangewehr or gew98 bayonet.
It's very long, more than 2ft overall length. Has a scabbard that appears...
Thanks for the offer. I am in the process of acquiring some reloading equipment. .348 is not super high on the list at the moment, but perhaps someday. I recently did find some factory .348 and paid a pretty penny for it ($3ish per shot).
A long time ago I inherited a large, diverse gun collection along with all kinds of ammunition and accessories to go with it. Most of the collection has been gone through already, but I still have some things that even I, in my now more than a decade of experience as a shooter, collector, and...
As a Chicago resident I will say that although these arrests and charges are a little scary, and the FOID does indeed suck, I would be surprised if these felony charges stick. The "progressive" State's Attorney here frequently dismisses felony charges, accepts a significant amount of plea...
Either of those setups would be ideal if I can get an adjustable gas block. Are these setups commonly called dissipator barrels? Perhaps that could help in my online search for components.
I plan to use a special binary style trigger that's going to require some tuning and tinkering to operate correctly, and I don't really want to assemble the upper twice if a standard gas block doesn't work out.
I'm not super familiar with those, do they provide as much adjustment as a gas block? Also do they require any qualified gunsmithing to install or tune properly? I'm hoping to avoid gunsmithing with this project if possible.
Hi guys,
I'm building an AR15 and was hoping to go with more vintage-looking A2 setup, with the most important features being the classic A2 front sight paired with an A2 carrying handle.
However, this particular build is going to require an adjustable gas block. I've built/assembled a couple...
Update: tested out the gun today with some live ammunition. Charging handle still very rough and it appears that the bolt does not go into battery fully when the charing handle is pulled all the way back and released. Had to manually push the charging handle forward to get it into battery, after...
I recently acquired an Ithaca model 51 featherweight. It's a semi-auto 20ga with a full choke barrel and 2+1 capacity, this model appears to be from the '80s.
The gun is in great shape and doesn't appear to have any mechanical flaws. I haven't shot it yet but may test it out tomorrow.
The...
Nice looking guns, both look really clean! I have seen poly, Cutts and screw-ins put on these but I am a bit of a collector and like to keep things original. If original A5 barrels weren't so expensive I would reconsider getting a throw-around barrel and having screw-ins installed.
