In a lot of smaller "mom and pop" gun shops in Colorado, you're going to find a Glock 17 with 17 round Magazine "Parts Kits" (which consist of complete but disassembled magazines). Almost all the Sheriff's and Chief's of Police have flatly stated that they will not enforce the magazine (or UBC)...

I've known several guys that carry H&K P7s (and I don't mean the police trade in PSPs that flooded the market a few years ago ... although I know people that carry those too). If I had a P7M10 it would likely become my EDC piece, despite the ~$3000 price tag.

No law is forever if the people don't want it. Yes its easier to repeal if it has a sunset provision (because inaction is easier than action) but any AWB passed now could be repealed in a future session of congress and signed by a future president.
