I was curious as to what became of the legislation to take suppressors off the NFA/ATF list? Seems like most everything current is state by state basis and the federal level stuff all was posted within a couple days on October 22 and 23.
I dont think its honestly going to matter much either way now for any current buyers, as manufacturers seem to have higher prices more due to R & D and machinery. At least thats what Ive found anyway. Last time I checked, other things such as AR front hand guards, even at the top end, only run 4-500$ max and require significant machine work to do the long ones. Maybe if legislation goes through, more manufacturers will come in and mitigate some gouging if there is any. I mean the 338ba suppressor im looking at is $1750. Cant quite see where the extra 750 is coming from over some other top notch suppressors other than size. Usually they are solid core so you cant see if they are designed any differently.
Either way, hopefully the legislation goes through. Ill probably be a year or two in even getting one ordered so either they will have taken away guns or they might have allowed suppressors given the support base is large enough. Even if I buy now, I can still get the legal fee back if they push it through.
