copper shim for making #10'11 caps

It would be tough trying to figure out the right size to use. Copper needs to be annealed before you punch it into a cap making die or it'll crack or punch through instead of being drawn out correctly. And when that happens it'll stretch and become thinner. To get this right you'd need to do a bit of experimenting to find the right sheet stock thickness to get the proper resulting wall and end thickness of your caps. And with them only offering the shim stock in the sheet sizes shown that's a pricey bit of experimenting.

They do offer an assortment kit. But the sizes are limited and they want $90 for a pack of 5 sheets ! ! ! !
 
ditchtiger the reason I brought up the copper shim stock was to see what everyone thought about tryin to copy the Remington caps as they are made of copper and I was wonderin if anyone else has done it and how did it work out? and what thickness did they use! :)
