Savage 10FCPSR

A few years ago I owned a Savage 10FP in .223 Rem. It was very accurate and a very nice rifle. However, it had one fault that couldn't be ignored. The gun would never reliably feed the next round from the magazine.

For some reason the bullet would catch on the side of the barrel and not chamber 30% of the time. I had the gunsmith try to correct it but it never got better.

After 5 years I ended up selling it. I still miss it but it was maddening that it never fed reliably. Internet searches turned up a lot of complaints about the same thing.

Hopefully Savage addressed the problem by now.
