Nov. 2016 issue of American Rifleman has an article on the John Small rifle. It is a Federal period long rifle made by a Revolutionary War soldier who settled in Vincennes. Even after hundreds of years, it still looks remarkably good. Gunsmith Marvin Kemper made a reproduction and I've never seen such a clean workbench. That's gotta be staged (but then again, why not?).
