I am looking to take my Zastava M92 and change out the factory wood hand guard for a pic rail or M-Lok hand guard. I also want to add a muzzle device. I'm looking at Midwest Industries and elsewhere. What products do you recommend for hand guards and muzzle devices? I will be SBRing this pistol as well, but I have already committed to the MI triangle stock and Stormwerkz hinge. Thanks.

Making a decision on a forend will be driven by what you really intend to mount, combined with your own notions of design integrity. Me personally, I hate the concept of AK forends and gas tubes that use any sort of barrel band. I sprung some extra cash and bought the SLR Rifleworks handguard/gas tube combo and have no regrets. It is certainly not for the budget-minded consumer, though. Without going into a long-winded recap here on your thread, here's a more in-depth review I posted a while back.

Muzzle devices are also a very personal thing. I loathe muzzle brakes, especially on a firearm like this, but I value excellent flash suppression. The Bulgarian style 4-piece device offers great flash suppression, but it adds a good bit of length, and it is another item to disassemble and clean. The Manticore Eclipse works great, is both simpler and shorter, but does have a *ping* when firing. Some people lose their minds over this sound, but for me the .308esque boom is of more concern than the pinging sound.

Treading into the SBR territory of discussion, I use the Manticore stock with a Stormwerkz hinge, but it is a pig. I am switching out the stock for the hollowed out version made by CNC Warrior, which will save me about 1/2 a pound. The Manticore stock works great, but the M92 is already on the heavy side on behalf of the barrel.
