So, I took my new and first ever AR-15 to the range today, and while I am pleased with results, I am starting to think that I need a magnified sight for 50-100 yard shooting, if I am to enjoy the process. Before that, I was planning on getting a red dot, but I could barely see a 2" dia bullseye at 50 yards. It's not going to be much fun if I have to squint all the time.
My AR has a fixed front sight, and a folding rear peep sight, and ideally I'd like to retain them and use a scope that sits just above the front sight.
Is this realistic / doable ? Any recommendations ?
