I'm not an expert, but the heat shield clamps on the barrel with three screws. My guess is that as long as the barrel diameter on the M37 is similar to the 1897 or model 12 the GPC replica version heat shield should work.
I wouldn't attack you for modifying one. The M37 has only been made since the mid 1930s, not sure how rare they are.
The Ithaca 37 had the longest production run of any pump shotgun in the history of the earth. In other words, they are not rare. but good, clean versions are harder to come by as many people are holding onto them because they are an excellent handling and shooting gun. Beat up examples can be had for cheap but probably need a refreshing.
