A few months ago the RP9 caught my attention in one of the magazines I get. I was about ready to order one but kept putting if off for one reason or another. Remington came out with a $100 rebate the first of November and that was enough to make me do it. I know what kind of crap Remington put out a few years ago so I was a little bit leery, but nothing ventured is nothing gained.
After getting it and taking it apart I was very impressed with the fit and finished of all the internal parts. I left the small grip insert in even though I have fairly large hands, it still fits well enough.
I shot both factory rounds and my reloads through it without one issue. Accuracy was better than I'm capable of anymore. I like the sights on it, they are the right size dots for my eyes. I shot about 200 rounds and there was no wear places on my hand at all like there is with some of my handguns.
The only downside I had was when loading 18 rounds in the magazine, its kinda rough pushing the last few in, the spring has a lot of compression on it by then, but of course this is to be expected, it didn't exactly take me by surprise.
I don't really care for the way the magazine is loose in the grip, it will rattle if shaken, but it's not like its a function problem, just something that is there.
This is my first large capacity pistol and so far I am very happy with it. Getting it for just a little $200 made it a very good deal in my book.

I recently got a RP9 too. Mine runs fine if I only load 15 rounds in the 18 round mags. If I load the mags all the way up the first 3 rounds won't feed and jam into the bottom of the feed ramp of the barrel. I contacted Remington and they told me my gun was manufactured in november of 2016 and that they have updated mags now. They are going to send a couple of the newer mags. Also the sights are for a combat hold where you cover the target with the front sight. I need to get use to that sight picture. Other than that so far I'm pretty happy with the gun.
