Went to a local show yesterday and saw one (1) single barrel 12 gauge and it was WAY over priced.

Ask a couple of folks about them...."No body wants those things, its no use bringing them!"

... because it isn't tacticool enough to kill what one needs dead, with only one shot. After all that would be marksmanship.

That's ok. We don't listen to those folks any way. Though it is hard to hit a flushed pair with one.

I don't want to turn this into a gun-show-bash-fest... but I have found very little deals at shows. Normally it's the stock that places can't sell in their store front. To the shows I've been recently, it's been beat up singles and bolt guns at much too high prices.

I tried to buy a little used Rossi .410 shotgun (single shot, short barrel "survival type") at a show last winter... guy wanted $185 for it. I asked if he was willing to deal on it and he decided to lecture me on how I'm a dumb buyer and he's an experienced salesman and that he didn't give away guns. I hated to break it to this "salesman" that they are about $115 brand new at Walmart.

Were not are. They don't make shotguns anymore

Not sure how long ago they stopped, because I still see them for sale, even online (because I never purchased one yet). But Rossi normally cycles their manufacturing from what I can tell.

Now I need to call them again. I'm short a forearm and block for a 20ga 22 combo.

Don't hold me to this, but I think their lever guns were Braztechs... which have been imported under names like Puma, etc. (I think, it's been a while since I've researched), so maybe Rossi imports their shotties too, which may be why they are on-again-off-again.
