Midland Backpack one-shooter?

Definitely on the light side for a 12 gauge but I would be interested in the 20 gauge model.

Interesting. I could find a reason to make use of something like that, especially for the price.
But as previously mentioned, a 12ga load in a gun that light doesn’t sound like fun. Why no 18” barrel option in 20ga?

I have one similar sold under Iver Johnson name made in turkey too the main differences are mine is 26 " barrel full choked 410 and mine the trigger guard is also the barrel release

Yep. Aguila Mini Shells would be good walking-around ammunition, saving the heavier stuff for when you really want to wallop something (and yourself in the bargain).

For twice the amount you can get a Chiappa Double Badger. Always have a shotgun and rimefire. Mine has a small dovetail machined into it (I put a scope on it earlier this year. See attached image for typical results at 40 yards using a Fiocchi 40 grain plated round nose .22LR.).

To me a 357 Mag/Max barrel would cause me to pause and consider the Midland. Otherwise the Double Badger is absolutely the way to go for current production folding shotguns.
Mine is a .410 with fixed full choke. A 20 gauge variety is available with changeable chokes.
I think I paid $360 for mine at a LGS years ago. Prices are lower online. Even after FFL fees and taxes you should fair better than I did.
Very happy with it.

Does your chewing gum loose its flavor on the bed post over night?
That might be the question of the century. I’m channeling something terrible to get stuck in your head like you got that one stuck in mine.

Here’s a hint, it’s itsy bitsy, teenie weenie, and yellow with polka dots.

Interestingly enough, the question you posed is more interesting than the thought of a 4 pound 12 ga.

Other than just being a copy of the old Beretta design, what is the reason for the barrel being hinged? The hinge means you can only fold it part way. On every other single or double barrel break open design I know of the barrel/forearm is detachable.

You do not need to put it back together to fire it, simply put a shell in and straighten it out. So it is quicker to put into use, starting from its compact storage mode, than a single or double that is taken down into stock-receiver, barrel, forearm.
