Thinking of buying a flint from TVM, a showroom model. Anyone done business with them? is there any wiggle room in those prices? I'm not cheap, don't want to lowball. But what's been your experience.

Thanks in advance,

JV

Really look at what "package" you buy from them. They offer them from where u do some work, all the way to finished rifles.
Are they flexible?....depends on who you talk with. 95% of the time it's a no.
Are they good rifles?....oh yeah!
Is there better or equal to be had for less?
As for shooting, yeah theres better for way less, but for craftsmanship and wood selection, and the time they put into each rifle...their prices are the norm really.
They are pricey, but most upper echelon things are. Definitely dang good people, and I cant say anything neg about my rifle.

Idk if Toni still answers when u call, but Matt is a builder and a world of knowledge.
He will answer any question u have.
He definitely is a master at making em.

I'm looking at one of the "built" Showroom guns on their page, I don't doubt the quality or their integrity at all. was just looking for some insight, I like a bit of negotiation :)

I was a TVM Dealer from 1990 till 2010, and their finished rifles are worth the price. There’s usually no wiggle room when buying one. Remember, you’re paying for trained American labor and American-made parts.

As other manufacturers do, they have to add 11% for the Federal Excise Tax on firearms. If you want save money, buy one of their kits and get one for a hundred dollars or more less than the finished piece.
