I was at the pawn shop taking care of some business when I spied this sitting in a glass case.

ApEmasJ.jpg

It came with a #1 collet and a #27 pilot. Everything is there, just needed a little lube on the shaft...

The best? Marked for $9.99. Even better? The pawn shop people like me and knocked it down to $5. I even told them what they had and they let me have it dirt cheap.
Score or not?

it's a foster ya good deal, think there $100 new. that one looks good shape. the price for the pilots for inside neck reaming can add up, i make them on the lathe for my dads one. you can get the cutter for outside neck turning to there about $40. if you ever sell it i would be interested.

They are on MidwayUSA for $85 a copy, without collet or pilot. The #27 pilot I have no use for, ordered the #22 for .223, will get the other for 7.62x39mm, and have the Universal Hollow Pointing kit en route, too.
It looks better now after cleanup. It is in mechanically excellent shape.

Score, very nice trimmers with little to no flex. I have a Wilson, a Forster, and an RCBS. Have to be careful with hand pressure on the RCBS, as it will flex some.

I trimmed 6 PPC on the Wilson, do finish trim .308 on it, and will now trim 6 Dasher on it. Have the case holder for it now.

Yes, nice score. I use a Wilson, but would be just as happy with the Forster ... although I'm thinking about adding a Little Crow.

Very good score on a great case trimmer.

There are many attachments available for it including primer pocket cleaners, neck reamers and even hollow pointing tools. Replacement bases are also available.

I won a box of "junk" reloading equipment at an auction. It was junk except for the Forsters trimmer at the bottom of the box, the box I got for $8. I bought the longer 6.5" base for it so now I can easily trim longer cartridges . I already had the original trimmer with a 5 3/8" base.

You are going to like this tool once you buy the collets and pilots you need.
The #1 collet is very useful, it does the .223, .243, 303 British, the 30-06 and all its spinoffs and about 50 more!
The #27 pilot is for cases with a .277" mouth.

I have a #22 pilot on the way and the Universal Hollow Pointer, so I can trim up my milspec .223 brass better than that Lee Zip Trim, and play with my home cast bullets even more. :) It is highly unlikely I will ever use the #27, as I don't shoot 270 or any of the other rounds it services. Walkalong, I like the way you mounted yours on the board, gonna do the ame thing so I can clamp it to the bench when in use, and off when not.
