Mike!
Thanks the video, Doc! A great start to a Thursday. ;0) That style of bag would be useful at the range with almost any type of BP weapon. Small, close and organized for just the essentials.
regards!

Nice video. Have a Brown Bess that I attempted to get 3 shots within one minute. Seemed to be the rule of thumb for back in those days. Couldn't get past two in a minute. It's damn hard and gives you an appreciation for the environment our soldier dealt with back then. Fix Bayonets!!!!

Three in a minute is fast! I prefer not to prime my pan first, which is important for speed (all based on using paper cartridges). I can get two and some, or three in a minute starting with a loaded gun. Just don't grab too much of that wood ramrod on the reloads, when they break they are SHARP and will leave a mark on your arm. Ask me how I know that...

As a subscriber I’ve watched most of them I think. Informative, interesting and just down right entertaining. Love how you get into character to fit the gun your featuring. You’ve done one on hats I believe how about one on costumes. Your wardrobe must be as extensive as your gun collection.

Mike, I always enjoy your videos. This one is especially pertinent as I want to pare down the amount of gear I take to the range. Unless it's a competition, I rarely take more than twenty shots in a session. (Using a flintlock tends to draw attention from the cartridge shooters and a lot of enjoyable conversation. ) Taking a smaller bag with what is needed instead of the mountain of gear I usually do would be a nice change.

That's the way my dad taught me to set up my bag in the 70's. Always a front pocket with loose balls and patching or a single pocket pouch with only that. His grandpa taught him that. I passed it on to my kids.
Great video!
