Went to the pistol range yesterday and brought along my M9, Shield 9mm, S&W PC1911, S&W Model 15 and a Diamondback DB9. Haven't shot any of them for quite a while and wanted to give them all a good workout.
I bought the M9 and PC1911 about a year ago and only shot them once during that time. I've always been a 1911 fan and was really disgusted with the military for dropping it and adopting the Beretta. Hated the Beretta for no other reason than it replaced my grail gun, but yesterday really changed my mind. I love shooting the M9, it has the two white dot sights so isn't really a good bullseye gun but I was able to turn in some good groups. Put 100 rounds through it and no problems. Recoil is really mild with a big gun like the M9 and I could shoot it all day.
Then I started on the 1911 and rediscovered my love for that platform. It is accurate to a fault and functions perfectly. S&W really did a good job on it in the Performance Center, I don't regret buying it.
Gotta mention the Model 15, the trigger is really smooth even in double action. As long as I did my part it hit where I aimed. There is a bullseye league here and I need to join it and see if my old eyes can do the .38 due justice. Happiness is an accurate pistol and a lot of ammo.
