A Shield is more proven and a better value, imo. Or the latest and greatest if you want the higher capacity in that form factor would be the new Hellcat or the P365 (if you trust the latter). I just don't see much of a niche for the Mossberg.

Glock was late for the game with their 380's.

Give the underdogs a chance.:)

When I first heard about them, I thought they were a good idea and put it on my maybe list. Crossbolt safety on a pistol actually sounds good and Glock mags are a great way to go.

But now Springfield brought out their Hellcat and I'm convinced other companies are going to be doing the same. In a period where sales are slow, the P365 is selling well. $500 for any pistol is still a steep price for a polymer pistol tho and I'm expecting companies like Ruger, S&W, Taurus to bring out their P365's at a much lower price.

So, I'm holding off on buying a single stack for now. I have to believe Ruger is going to be coming out with a 365 around SHOT in January, their only single stack 9mm right now is the EC9s, and that itself is a budget version of the LC9s, so they're probably looking to make an improved 9mm for CCW and a P365 clone for $300 would sell like hotcakes.

I looked at one and went with a Shield. It was just too good of a price to pass up. Then again I opted to go .45.

I shot one and it was a very nice pistol. Easy for me to get some nice groups. Like the way the did the striker Channel for easy cleaning. I shot the 365 also and personally prefer the Mossberg for better shooting performance. And yes, the ability to use the cheaper Glock mags is a big plus. The only down side was it is heavier than I want at this time. Already have a couple of nice Micro9's that I am totally set with. I am not looking for high round count, but would love to see more Light weight Micro 9mm's. Actually the PF 9 has peaked my interest. Never realized it was only 12oz and a 8 rd mag suits me just fine.
