I've got a 1990 FA 44 Mag with a ten inch barrel. You can't shoot it too much without taking the cylinder out and brushing the chambers with a bore brush. Loaded rounds won't chamber all the way down if you don't.
Best platform for the 454 casull

5 FA, all model 83 (22, 22 mag, 357, 45 acp, 45lc, 45 win mag, 454)
I’m at target/bench guy so my set ups only involves scopes or silhouette sights.
The tolerances are extremely tight and accuracy at 100 yards is outstanding, even my 22s are under an inch at 100 yards
I have not had difficulty loading the 454, 45lc, 45acp,45 win mag or 357 but the 22 can be tight after 50 or so rounds. I know Freedom arms offers an option to open up the chambers on the 22s (I can’t remember what they call it)
As I do not want to ruin a great thing,I just clean.
That said, I would not choose this platform as my primary hunting gun unless the situation was similar to my current target shooting routine, a clean setting, requiring distance/accuracy.
Banging around in the woods, I would choose a revolver that was looser but likely just as capable, given the task
