Several years now I've been planning to replace several presses and combine them into one unit. Posted a few pics in "what have you done today" thread, but thought might be better to put all the photos here.

Started out recycling a home made mount built some time ago for a Lee 1000. Really like the Redding line of products and chose their T-7 press to replace my old Herters #234 (6 station) turret press. It's due to the Herters that my respect for turrets originated.

The more I studied this project....the more different ideas popped up. Having added KMS brand LED's on a Dillon 650, tried to figure out how to make it work on a turret press. Checking KMS's web site it appears no one has come up with anything yet for turrets. Machined a light mount that could be rotated to direct the light by pivoting and would add protection to the LED's from impact.

Added a spare parts pull-out drawer to keep shell carriers, rings, springs, and other goodies. Wanted to be able to store and add additional turrets later as well as eliminate resetting dies every caliber change. Redding makes a nice turret stacker that helped. While we're at it, why not include a powder measure instead of mounting it to a separate base.

Always like the plastic trays for holding items close at hand. If one is good...two will be better. Made a mount that holds two back-to-back. Can add longer trays if necessary. Probably looks like a car that was drug thru the J.C. Whitney catalog, but I think it'll work out.

Great idea. I have two Dillion XL 650s that see less and less use each day. I have Dillon AT 400 (stripped down 550 I think) which is Dillon's answer to the turret press and it does real well for all the weird rifle rounds (6.5x53mmR to .458 Winchester) that one tends to be less in production and greater in oversight. So I'm tending more and more to the turret sort of press.

I like your solution to 'other stuff'. Except I have about half a barn door's full of dies and a gob of shell head holders.

Your idea would probably be great for apartment (or other small area) loader to fit everything.

Ferrarri class, love it. Nothing too nice for the handloading bench.
