First Big Order

The secret is to share the wealth. One big order through UPS then two weeks later one from FedEX. By the time the next month rolls around the driver will have forgotten why he dislikes your drive so much.;) Then a couple medium flat rate boxes of bullets in the middle of the off weeks and the postal lady will still be good to your mail.:D
I stopped ordering for a couple months last summer and all three of them stopped by and asked of I was OK or had I lost my job or some such.:p
I will qualify by telling you all I order for myself and four friends that all shoot alot and I tend to be home to sign for the stuff.

or to keep a box at the UPS Store and have everything delivered there. Bottle of scotch per regular employee at Christmas time every year, and they are happy to accept my boxes and keep them inside until I get there to pick them up.
no more torn up boxes in the rain on the front porch. Especially when you order 50K of RMR in a single year lol. Or when Powder Valley needs a signature on the shipment. Doesn't matter if FedEX/UPS/USPS they will accept it. I don't have to worry about being home for the delivery guy
Everybody wins.

A few years ago a couple of friends and I were shooting Steel Challenge. One goes through a lot of ammo and we were pooling resources. We went in together and bought primers and bullets in lots of 100K and powder 48# at a time to split between us. All this got delivered to the fire house where my office is. The firemen didn't really know what it was except it had something to do with ammo. They thought we were nuts but in a fun way.

Buying in bulk is nice! It took me a solid two years to build my inventory. I've got around 25 pounds of various powders, about 30K of various primers, and loads of brass.

So I'm understocked!!!!!

LOL! Yep. Stupid mortgage...……….
There was a remembered of my Reloading Club who was wondering if he should up his on-hand supply of primers prior to the last election. When asked how many he had on hand, his reply was, "Just over 100k." :what:

I thought I was pretty well supplied at 30-50k...but I'm stock piling Federal primers and they take a lot more room :p

I’ve been on a buy 2k and load 1K buying regime. Seems to be working, but ultimately I’d really like to hit 100K and then maintain it.

But you forgot to buy the bullets!!!!:what::uhoh: :D:D:D
I know it! I’m always running short.

I recently set up a fun money account to divert funds when I get paid. I see a massive order in my future.
