Hi!
I need advice to buy...
Anybody have expirience with Husqvarna rifles?
And just wonder how CZ 550 will stand against Husky? They both using Mauser type action..
Don't know which one best one to get..
Husky probably will have less barrel life left.. But they have amazing action..
CZ I herd hade some roughness in action..

Depends: the early Husky (late 1940s) were made using commercial FN Mauser 98 actions -- they brought out their modified HVA action in the 1950s. I've got two Husquvarnas with FN Mauser actions and factory barrels with well-kept, low-mileage bores -- one in 7.92x57 cost me $300 not long ago, the other in .270 about $600 a couple decades back.

I have four CZ rifles and think the world of them, but my particular Husquvarna M98s have more polished actions and I think they are slightly better for it. With rifles featuring the later HVA actions, my choice would probably come down to features and condition, possibly favoring the CZ a bit. There are no bad choices here.

I've handled a couple of Husquvarna rifles and liked them a lot, would like to have one, but can't speak from any experience with them. I do have 3 CZ 550s and I love them. They are a hoss of a gun for the relatively light calibers that the standard models are chambered in. The actions might be little bit rough when new, but they smooth up very nicely with use. Or you can spend an hour or so and knock any rough edges off of them if you are in a hurry (like me) to enjoy operating a big 'ol smooth Mauser action.

The guns built prior to about 2007 or so had a higher level of metal polish prior to bluing, and cosmetically look just a little better to my eyes. (I'm not sure exactly when they made this change, but my 2005 model has the higher level of polish, my 2012 does not. I think it was in the 2007-ish time frame.) The earlier models also had rubber recoil pad instead of foam. Here's a photo where you can kind of see the difference in the metal polish, 2005 model .243 on the near side and 2012 model .308 on the far side. (I refinished the wood on these two, but metal is factory finish.)

My 2002 model 550 Varmint in .308 is the most accurate gun I've ever owned or fired in a setting where I could gauge accuracy (wood also refinished).

My 550 American 6.5x55 is the most accurate rifle I’ve ever owned. I could be wrong but have always had the impression Husqvarna firearms have a higher degree of fit and finish than CZ’s and are renown for their accuracy.

If I remember correctly(and I do so less and less), some Husqvarna rifles are cock-on-closing. I do prefer cock on opening actions.

No experience with Husky but I have a CZ550 in 243 and used to have on in 458Lott. CZ makes some of the best firearms IMO and are priced right.
