One week ago my local Bass Pro in central Texas had 4 pounds of powder. I bought 2 of those pounds. And today......... AB615217-AFA0-43D4-ACAC-A6EE1B0497EF.jpeg Academy had several pounds of one brand of shotgun powder and nothing else.

Anybody in an area that’s stocked fairly well?

My local place had an 8lber of red dot and 10 pounds of h4350. I guess everyone got overstocked on h4350 when the creedmoor crazy was in full swing

I bought the red dot

My bps only has 1lb containers. I would by 8lb of unique or 2400 and a few others. I dont use 4350 currently, to slow for my current uses.

When I picked up my new pistol on Thursday I was surprised to see the powder shelves pretty well stocked at the local guns store. He even had primers so I picked up 1000 each of SP,SR, and LP. Even more surprising to me was that the prices were the same as pre-panic. I commented on that to the owner and he said he does not raise his prices solely on the basis of a panic as customers remember those who take advantage when the panic passes.

Let's just say that store gained points in my eyes.

In central MN, some of the more common powders are picked over (the reason I don't shoot Varget or R15 anymore) but there is a useful speed for anything one may wish to load on the shelves. IMR 4064, AA2230, and some of the slower Alliant powders still there as well as various pistol/shotgun options. Primers and bullets also still available, but not full selection.

Local place around me has a pretty good stock. Had a bunch of H1000 2 weeks ago and just about everything they carry was in stock. I picked up a couple 4lb containers of unique for $60 a piece there.

Hi...
Local gun shop that I buy my powder at here in southcentral Pennsylvania had very good stocks of powder when I was there to buy powder and primers a week or ago.

IIRC, they had some quantity restrictions on certain primers but I was able to get 5000 CCI large pistol primers and an 8# jug of Unique. There had been no price increase either from earlier this year.

Of all the powders and primers that they stock, I didn't see a single powder or primer that was out of stock.

Prior to the shut down I was looking for a pound of AA#5 and one of Power Pistol to try out. The Bass Pro in Round Rock had two of the Power Pistol so I picked up one and some primers. I haven't been back sense as most places have been cleaned out of most stuff. I did find some AA#5 and AA#2 on line at a decent price.

I feel sorry for you guys, but........... you should have planned ahead.... I always have 16 lbs of handgun powder, and 24 lbs of rifle powder on hand at all times. But I do shoot a lot, and compete in several events a year.... After the Obozo years, I learned the hard way...hopefully this will end soon, and you can get what you need.

Around here,
"You can't always get what you want, but if you try, you just might find, you get what you need"

Our Bass Pro looks a lot like the pic the OP posted, but there's a few other smaller shops, I was able to pick up a pound of Bullseye yesterday. Primers have been available for the most part

I get all of my powder and primers at the local gun shows. Gun shows were put on hold, so....

The next show will be interesting. I’ve got plenty to keep me busy for quite some time, though.

Don’t feel sorry. I’ve got a solid 3 years worth of components and ammo. I like to keep an eye on the market and availability even if I don’t need anything. I’ll sometimes top off for the hell of it though and adding a new caliber can cause a need for a different powder.

awesome little shop in SE Michigan has everything in stock- Wally makes sure it is always fully stocked. I would conservatively put it in the 200K+ in primers of all types and 1000lbs.+ of powder, plus bulk brass and bullets of all types. Last time I stopped by he had 5K of precision delta just stacked on the floor as there wasn't a shelf space for it. plus he is the #4 dillon dealer in the county so if he doesn't have it, it's backordered. I'm all set though, I visit to say hi and talk as I'm stocked up for the foreseeable future.

Where I live in Central MN, I found two stores that had a lot of powder and primers available. Another store had very little of either. None of them had a shellholder for 9mm which is what I was looking for.

I buy powder in 4 or 8# jugs, none of which is available in any LGS. Order online and deal with it.

Working up new loads for new calibers is when I want to get one pound locally. That’s not an option near me anymore. It’s kinda strange how bass pro sold out and hasn’t restocked for weeks. Academy is headed in the same direction too.

Once a person knows what they like, I agree, buy bulk online and eat the hazmat fee.

Our stocks have been low for the last 4 months. Occasionally I will find a pound of powder or several sleeves of primers. It seems we are at a point that reloading supplies will have to be ordered online although some powders have been hard to find there as well.
