What is the last gun that you bought?

Well, in my case, the last gun I bought was an elderly friend's collection. He was selling his house and wanted to sell his rifles and shotguns. I tried my best to talk him out of selling his stuff - I hate to see that happen. But he was definitelly insistent.

Included in the lot was:

1. 1947 vintage Winchester 94 in 32 Win SPL. His father have him this rifle for his 14th birthday,
2. 1966 vintage Rem 700 in 270 with Leupold 3x9x40,
3. Double barrel 410 shotgun,
4. Double barel 20 gauge shotgun,
5. 1988 vintage Ruger 10/22 with a 4 power Taiwan Tasco.

He also threw in the gun cabinet, too.

It turned out he made the right decision to sell his firearms. Within a year of my purchase, he had to be admitted into a dementia facility.

I visit him every Sunday, at least prior to the virus lockdown, and will continue to do so when visitors are again allowed. He can remember faces but no names. Doesn't matter, as when I walk in, he lights up like a Christmas tree. And inside, so do I...

Don't have any pics, but my last gun bought was a Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor that I bought back in December. I just put a Bushnell Sharpshooter 4-12X40 on it. I got it bore sighted and as soon as it stops raining around here I'll get it to the range for zeroing.

Just bought a 2017 version of the Colt Cobra. Going shooting this weekend. Trigger pull is avg 8.5 lbs and silky smooth. Da/sa SS model. Love it so far. We will see how she shoots.

Dan Wesson 715 .357 magnum.
When I was a kid I'd always wanted a Colt Python or a Dan Wesson vent rib 6" .357 mag. I've all but given up on a Python, and I didn't know this Dan Wesson even existed until last week, so when I saw it I had to snap it up. Can't say I won't eventually get a 2020 Python, but this Dan Wesson should suffice for a while.

I bought a Smith & Wesson Model 3913NL and hope to get a call from my FFL that I can pick it up soon. These old, all-metal Gen3 3900 series Smiths are great 9mm shooters and make a fine carry gun option. Thankfully, the other auction bidders quit before topping my modest bid. Oh, happy day!

Just brought home a KelTec P17. All the guys at the shop had a good laugh at my toy pistol, but I'm really looking forward to some range time. Looks to be a fine mate to my .22 can.

Picked this one up today...

Got deal at pawn because barrel was loose and swinging back and forth:what:...brought it home, took it apart, dug the roll pin out of the shroud, tapped it back into the frame and put it together....one nice DW here, a few scratches on the shroud, but the frame, action and barrel are great, even has some barney on the frame, kinda kool. Looking for a nice 2.5 barrel and shroud now.

I pick this top break up on Friday, @Driftwood Johnson is schooling me on it in a different thread. Always wanted one and it popped up at a different pawn shop. 20200518_171558.jpg 20200518_171411.jpg

My Daddy and I got a Savage 99 (circa 1953) in .300 Savage and a Remington 673 in .308 for $600 total. Daddy also did some horsetrading with the boy on autobody work and got a 45-Remington 1187 with a smooth bore and a cantilever rifled barrel in 20 bore.

Before that an old family friend gifted me a Siamese Mauser re-bored to 45-90. Bavarian style stock that handles like my Fabarm sporting clay over under.

I will see if Daddy can send pictures to me...

Mine was a 1/2 a gun. Picked up a .450 Bushmaster upper from BCA last week. Side charging, 18” barrel. Haven’t shot it yet. Just set the new scope on it last night. Maybe next week sometime. Too many honey do’s going on right now.

Just ordered a Lipsey's GP 100 in 10mm on bud's. Should be at the shop on Monday. It is my third 10mm but the only revolver I have in that caliber.

With the current run on 9mm and 40 S&W pistols and AR's, I can't see paying the inflated prices for those right now. Wouldn't really pick up anything meant for social work at this time.

Last gun purchased (about 5-6 weeks ago) was a new Ruger M77 RSI in .223.

Hi...
Most recent purchase was a Uberti Schofield replica in .45Colt. Blued steel model with a 7-1/2" barrel. Just picked it up yesterday.
Used gun...came with two leather holsters, the original box and all the paperwork Uberti ships with the gun.
Gun has no wear visible on it. Barrel and charge holes are very clean. Consignment gun in a local gun shop...$850 plus tax and transfer.

Does anyone know if Uberti offers a replacement cylinder for the Scofield that lets one shoot 45 acp?? I know they do for their 1873s .
