My wife's 30-30 brass has started failing. They were the only ones with 30-30 anything in stock.
I ordered 100 more pieces of brass, 500 130gr hp and a lyman m die.
They said they are back logged so I'm not bugging them.
It's been a week and they haven't even gotten to taking my money.
This is me right now. 0f25ee2d869ef533343ffaed0b830712.jpg

I just bought 100 once-fired .30-30 and 50 each of 7mm Rem Mag, .270 and .243 for 72 bucks off of gun broker. They’re out there if you search a bit .

Stay safe.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered an in-stock Lee APP and it took them 10 days to get it out the door.
I understand the wait. It'sgot to be a mad house in every ammo store or warehouse right now.
I went from 100 plus pieces of brass to less than 20 in 2 reloading sessions

Gunbroker has lots of 30-30 brass.

Bfh_auto: You mentioned ammo stores. Tons of .223 and 7.62x39 is available--Now--at JGsales. Both 1) brass-cased and Much Lower-Priced 2) steel-cased :scrutiny::eek::feet::what::uhoh:.

This works quite well for those of us who simply replace fractions of our ammo reserves when it is consumed....
.....or for those who feel like they will soon be defending their "Alamo" from the house roof :uhoh:, do many people not know about ammo search engines such as "Gunbot"?

I usually just buy 5 boxes of cheap 30-30 and reload until the brass cracks.
I don't but 223 because I have friends that keep my empty brass bucket full.
My bullets powder and primers come from the lgs but they are currently in must wear a mask land until November.

Around here the 30-30 brass is usually found laying on the ground at the rrange. Guess I am lucky in that respect. Last week I finally got an order from Natchez that took about twice as long as normal. I should be happy that all the projectiles I wanted were in stock at one store. I have a feeling that this will keep happening at least until the first of the year. Not any longer if we are lucky.

This should be my only order for the next year or so. I am setting pretty in everything for the foreseeable future. In times like this. I try to leave the current supply for the people who really need it.
The string of split necks caught me off guard.

Well I am glad you found brass you needed but I gotta ask if you’re splitting necks that bad which is it the gun or bad ammo?

I lost count of how many times it was reloaded. I know it was over 10. It was from monarch ammo that I got for 5 dollars per box of 20.

Reloaded 10x even with anealing every 3rd or 4th time fired is still pretty good for .30-30 IME. .30-30 brass is not as thick and the alloy seems softer than your typical .308 or other late model calibers. I have 5 or 6 firings on my .30-30 stuff and trim every 3rd or 4th firing. No split necks yet, but who knows what the future holds? My brass is primarily Federal with a bit of Winchester. I don't shoot much of .30-30, but my brother and nephew shoot it for me!

I like running Berry's plated 150gr 30-30 over 29gr of IMR3031. It's accurate in my wife's microgroove and my nephew's Model 64 Win.

I've ordered several different things...guns, bullets, mags, ammo, etc. over the past 6 months. Everything has been delayed at least a few days. I just feel lucky to get stuff at all. I've visited a dozen or so gun shops in 6 different states (nebraska, wyoming, montana, south dakota, colorado, and kansas) during my recent 6 week escape from Kansas summer heat. Everyone of them tell me the same story; they are swamped with customers and short on product. Most go on to say it is much worse than previous runs a few years ago. One guy, a veteran of the gun business, said, "it's at least twice as bad". He recently closed his shop to get caught up on guns repairs and builds. And because they have no products to sell. It's bad out there folks, but I have, through persistence, been able to find almost everything I need.

I just ordered some 9mm brass from them. As long as it eventually arrives I'm ok. I'm just stocking up components as I see them at reasonable prices. Not in a NEED situation.

I just also ordered poly coated 9mm bullets for the first time from badman bullets. Hoping they reload and shoot well enough for plinking!

I feel fortunate, placed an order for various casting equipment through MidwayUSA on Monday. Tracking says I should get it Friday. Originally the 1st email estimated delivery between 8/24 and 8/27.

Yep Midway has been shipping same day for me. I have been using their free shipping to stock up on bullets and rifle brass...

They're always faster than midsouth for me. But they were out of 30-30 brass.
Midway charges a little more on average. But they are fast.

I just swapped for reloading stuff and I think there is about 2 gallon bags full of 30-30, after I get everything sorted I am going to offer some brass and dies for sale. I have about that much + some reloaded and some factory when I found it discounted to $5 a box. Some of my reloads are on load 5 and will be annealed after load 6, I anneal after 3 firings. I use 30 and 29gr of 3031 and 150gr and 170gr fp bullets with the Lee Factory Crimp die, it seems my Winchester prefers loads a little fast, I tried lower loads and they opened up
