I have a chance to buy a couple thousand rounds of this and since CCI and Golden Bullet have temporarily gone away, I would like your opinion of this ammunition. I tried a fifty round box I got from a Friend and it works perfectly in the TX22 and S&W Compact. Any downside, leading or anything? Thanks for any input.

Good stuff, runs in my Ruger auto pistols and auto rifles just fine. No better or worse than any of the other large manufacturers ammo.

Stay safe.

I use it in the old Marlin 80DL, if I do my part the rifle will make one small hole. Never had a problem with it, I would shoot it exclusively if I could.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Of the brands you mentioned,,,
I like the Auto match a lot better than the Golden bullet.

It is lead ammo so it does lead the barrel a bit,,,
But then again so does CCI SV.

But not so badly as to be a real problem,,,
Just clean it out a bit more often.

Federal calls it "match" ammo,,,
I found it to be very adequate "plinking" ammo.

During the Obama shortage I scored four of the 3?? round packs,,,
I don't recall having even one dud round in the batch.

I always have a few duds with Golden Bullets.

Just my observations,,,

Federal bulk in a smaller count box for more money is what I consider it to be. The accuracy of the two are about the same. If it was all I could find at a reasonable price I would buy it.

As always you did right test first. When panic shortages like this come up there are a few kinds of .22 I grab up. That is top of the list. When this latest panic started I had just recently finished off the last of the Fed AM, Rem GB 100 packs, and those Win red 100 packs I had been buying during that great shortage. I have been buying that Fed AM by the case again now. All 6 .22's seem to have no problems with it. Stuff seems a great alternative to my long favorite, CCI MM.

I have used it in my 10-22, MK1, S&W M&P pistol and S&W AR-type rifle. Zero issues in any. The bulk Winchester stuff? Different story.

There seems to be "something with" all the bulk ammo. I have often wondered why. Don't know if its different than the same ammo in sleeves or boxes or if it's the way it gets banged around handling??
When these panics hit I buy the Remington Golden in those 100 round boxes, Winchester in those 100 round sleeves and they work fine. Buy the Win bulk stuff or Rem Golden stuff in bulk and suddenly it does not want to work. That Auto Match is bulk pack and it's always worked so who knows. ?????

I shot many thousand rounds of AutoMatch through CZs shooting metallic silhouettes. No problems with misfires. I thought accuracy was as good or better than most bulk ammo.

My Buckmark (Sold it) liked it, so does my Trailside, but my S&W M-41 does not, runs fine on it, just isn't accurate with it.
That part, the accuracy or lack of it is a very common thing. You can take 10 .22 pistols of the same model and it's totally normal for different ones to have different taste in ammo as far as which one they like best.

My Buckmark, GSG 1911, 10/22 and other bolt guns shoot auto match well. However I just got a glock 44 and it shot the auto match and a few others I tried but I’m lucky to hit the side of a barn with this gun.

Decent stuff though not quite as accurate as my Wolf Match Target or CCI Standard Velocity. My daughter does okay with it in her Beretta Neos.

I’ve never had issues with any Federal or CCI .22LR ammo...I use a lot of the auto match, American Eagle, and bulk packs without any issues. The CCI tends to be the most accurate but I am NOT a bullseye shooter.

I also like Aguilar and anything from the Eastern Blok or Germany factories.

I gave up on bulk Remington and Winchester.

Now that I've acquired 3250 more rounds of Automatch and shot a couple hundred in TX22, S&W Compact, SR22, and BERSA T22, I have the following conclusions: CCI Mini-Mag 100%. Remington Golden Bullet 98%. Automatch 100%. American Eagle 50%. This is based on a lot of shooting with the exception of Automatch which I've just began shooting but so far great. American Eagle is a no go for me. If it won't operate a TX22 or a Ruger SR22 it is on my no buy list. The BERSA is finicky with Standard Velocity but very reliable with high velocity and I base a lot of my findings on that. Feel free to disagree, I like hearing others experiences with .22 ammunition. The AA Kit for the Glock 21 and the CZ Kadet Kit on the CZ75 frame have been 100% with Mini-Mag and Golden Bullet. I'm going to try Automatch and some Agulia HV in them also. On a hopeful note, but just one dealer's opinion, is that centerfire ammunition for handguns will be back by December 2020. We'll see.

I've only used it in two guns, a Taurus PT22 and a Mossberg 702. It performed well in both guns. I'm pleased with it, which is good, because I bought scads of it during and after the 2013-2014 shortage.
