Gift cards and or Xmas ham/turkey.
Stop by with trash bags out of season and walk the road, pick up trash.
Give em a processed deer.
Gave one landowner a like new killer stocked TC Renegade. I got a smokin deal on it and he wanted to try MZ.........
knew he'd appreciate it. Haven't hunting his place since.
Bet I could call and hed tell me to come over for steaks on the grill and beer.

Edit: proly because I bring good beer and nothing to do with hunting LOL

Coworker had a place I hunted for a long while.
I helped him on the farm, remodel and do demo work on some houses.
We changed the pony motor on his D8 cat in horribly cruel weather/temps.
Bout got a turbo Case tractor stuck during flash flood (was taking top soil out of drained pond).
That pond was his buds, Dick was a cool dude.

We busted arse for each other, and for other cool folks. Plus we had regular jobs.
Good dudes just end up working together, pay or no pay, benefits or no benefits.

Good work, good people, get stuff done.

Trustworthy.

Not a common thing.

Went to go hunting and ended up running a combine, or laying in my camo under a truck helping do a repair.
Done that outside of hunting season too.

Learning how to fix stuff, helping out..........better than burning time on the internet.

My ol lady still yells at me, because I was always helping neighbors or farmers or coworkers.
And I never ask for help at home, do my own stuff.

Been that way since I was a kid.

Don't know any different. Jump in and figure it out.

Grinds my gears now w bad shoulder/back......I can't tackle big jobs.
3 daughters........one disabled..........and that the one that wants to help.
Go figure.

Some folks are naturally unselfish and or are workers.

Can't be lazy and be a farmer.............they can sense who is of the same cloth.

For the landowner where I bow hunt some Illinois whitetails, it's pretty simple. He hosts ansuperbowl party every year. I always deliver a case of his favorite beer, some venison sausage, selection of cheeses and crackers, and a handwritten note of thanks. He is always appreciative and I am still hunting it about 15 seasons so far.

I make great sourdough bread. Delivered still warm from the oven to my neighbor who owns the land I hunt. He's got bad shoulders so guess who drives the T stakes in his garden. Other things too as they come up. We get along great and really appreciate each other. To me, that's the ticket, treat people like you would like to be treated yourself and life will be good to you, not just access to hunting properties.

I will say thank you the next trip to the farm. I went for a ride today and checked cameras and found a couple of trees down on the fence. I had a sawsall but they were too big for it. I'll take the chain saw this weekend and cut them up. Need to work on a gate too.
