Smallest .45 auto?

Here's a Bond Arms .45ACP which is what I first thought of when I saw the thread title. I don't have one and really wouldn't care to shoot one in the subject caliber.
Looking at it on Youtube, it seems fairly large, however.

I wonder if its legal in Illinois ?

Smallest or smallest and usable? My S&W shield in .45 ACP is small and quite reliable and usuable.
It seems like we've drifted away from the OP and gotten into, "How small...are you comfortable with?"
