Well, I'm ready to crank up my bench, and have everything B UT bullets.

Wow, I never thought good ole fashion 230 grain fmj .45 acp bullets for reloading would be scarce.

Seems like there are all sorts of weird bullets out there. And, they cost plenty. But I rarely shoot anything other than hardball and hollow points.

Missouri has em sort of...10-12 week shipping delay.

I have good luck with getting xtreme plated bullets from cabelas. But they sell out fairly quickly just have to keep checking back.

Acme is a good source for their coated bullets. Were in stock earlier today although I see there out right now.

Lots of other sources too just takes some work. Obviously, would be helpful to broaden scope to include more than 230gr.

Looking for bullets is a far better exercise than primers.

Not what you are looking for but I cast my 45acp bullets from a Lyman 225gr RN mold. I have enough lead that I could cast years worth of these.

About 95% of my 45 ACP reloading is done with lead bullets. I have a good stock and are not sure about current availability.

Could be a great time to branch out...;)
200 grain SWC are my favorite.

Most of us long time reloaders have learned to read "the righting on the wall".

While the rest of us right the writing on the wall...

That is were the money goes.

Lube still works. Lead is still King, and doesn’t smell like burnt paint.
I shoot only at indoor ranges (NRA HQ & another w/sophisticated HVAC) and while they permit lead bullets, I find the smoke distracting even though it’s being pulled away from me. I didn’t know about the smoke when I first bought the lead projectiles now I have 1K I’ll probably never use. (I’ve only been loading since September 2019 when Walmart stopped selling handgun ammo around here so I learn a lot AFTER I’ve made the mistake.)

Depends where you look,,,
The only thing left on shelves right now is some of the 'less popular' calibers.
Several online options listed above.
Some manufacturers have redirected production to ONLY the popular calibers/weights in an effort (attempt) to keep up.

I forgot how heavy a 1000 230gr projectiles is lol

Back Home, Years Ago, I would order the 60# box of Winchester 230grn component bullets... 1830 230grn real FMJ bullets... for cheap, well, cheap compared to these days... from Midway, or the same 60# box of 9mm 115grn bullets... 3660 each. Why 60#? ...that was the weight limit for the carriers like UPS.

Ahhh... the good 'ole days...

I don’t think today’s ups drivers could lift 60lbs.

I'll second Lennyjoe's recommendation of X-treme bullets. They have both 200 & 230 grain plated round nose in stock.
Their shipping has been pretty good.
