You will be happy to know it didn't suffer. Died instantly. I got the front cover, the front and rear light sensors and the wiring connecting the rear sensor with the processing unit.

Haven't shot mine yet.....
But death by lead poisoning is common.....

This is my CED M2 that I bought brand new....case too in Nov. 2018. Packed it all in that fancy box, and still never used it once. Has all the infrared stuff as well......

Not likely in this life......probably will sell it or give it away.

Had another health back turn this month....back to the ER, this time had a very "angry" in the surgeon's words, gall bladder removed.....not feeling too great this week. I know ....big baby....;)

I feel bad for the Shooting Crony Company, for those who bought it (and especially those who shot it) I bought the M2 at that transition when they started selling radar.....because I knew if I bought a Shooty Crony I would shoot it......I know my weaknesses........Ok I didn't know about the present one....drug amplifyed, loopy, insaneness, and pain ..... again. Tired of this.

Wood is recommended. A hit on it reduces the risk of damage to the unit. Hit a stainless rod or the supplied rods and the impact will damage the case as well.

You should have told me sooner. Shooting a metal one was why I had to replace one of them. Almost ruined my chrony but seems to be fine how that the sensor was remounted. I considered wood, but they bend so much.

I'm afraid they're out of business, I just called the 1-800# and got a medical alert button scam, the their local 905 number seems to have been disconnected. I loved my Chrony but it developed an error 2 problem, guess I'll be buying something else.

I use chopsticks from Panda Express. Being that I typically ate there once a week, I'd always ask for a set while building up my skyscreen sticks. Glue 3 together with two back to back and one stick 1/2 way between the other two. I first used superglue with thread to lash them together but found Gorilla Glue to work better. Use wood clamps to hold them together while the glue sets. The narrow end of the chopsticks fit perfectly into both the Chrony base and the skyscreen hole

Back in the 90s I did a test with a Oehler 35P and a Shooting Chrony. I mounted the Chrony between two of the Oehler's sensors. I found that the two agreed very closely. I don't have the data anymore but it was only a couple percent difference.

I'm rather bummed that they went out of business because I have two (2) certificates for free Chronys that I won as door prizes.

Maybe the principals decided to retire.

Actually... they did. If you blasted your Chrony, they had a program where they would rebuild it for a nominal fee... I don't recall what it was.
or buy from Amazon and return it! yes, I did that. “Reason for returning... stopped working”

^^^ the things reloaders think about while eating with chopsticks at Panda Express

I was glad when I killed my Shooting Chrony Beta with my .243 after ten years of grief with it. It was useless on clear sunny days. My Caldwell was half the price and works great. hdbiker
