I don't know why, but I typically lose 5-20% of my .380 brass everytime I got to the range. I come home with 50-100% more brass than I started with with my 9mm brass. I know a lot of my .380 brass rolls out onto the range floor past where the broom can get it, but still. Just glad I bought a lot of once used .380 brass.

I had a bright idea once to make it easier to find my .380s. Bought a rubber stamp pad in red, rolled the cartridges on to pad to color them red. But once I shot them, I found they tended to blend in with the rusted steel casings littered around. Short lived idea. :)

I always wondered if there was some kind of mesh brass collector that could be pinned to the side of the divider at indoor ranges for this issue.

All depends on how the bays are setup. Where I use to shoot at I was able to put my brass catcher on the bench and the top supports just flexed between the wall and and target motor. Caught 99% of my rounds. The ones it missed bounced off the wall behind the netting, I would retrieve these before firing the next magazine. The photo does not show the top. Which is needed for those guns that like to eject brass into the next county.

Its been scientifically proven that 380 brass, when ejected, enters low earth orbit adding to the space junk problem. When the Kessler Effect starts knocking out satellites, it'll be all the 380 brass I've lost over the years to blame:D
Sounds to be as good explanation as any. :)

If you think .380 is bad try 9mm MAK.
Every time you fire one it creates a microscopic black hole that sucks the brass into a different universe......

And I am used to spotting .380 and 38 super in 9mm from a distance....

I mark some of the primers on my 380 reloads with a black Sharpie pen to distinguish the cases from other ones. Easy to see the difference between the marked cases and other ones at the range like 9mm. Cheap and easy solution.
