Though I have no interest whatsoever in owning one of these:

I was at the indoor range the other day and the guy in the stall next to me was shooting a very loud gun. I honestly thought he was shooting a short barreled .357 magnum or even a .44 Magnum. The first shot kind of startled me but other than that I was okay with the noise.
He would fire 4 rounds then a pause and then 4 more rounds.
I turned to get myself another target off the table behind me and noticed all 4 of the Range Officers looking through to the windows past me to the guy shooting the loud gun to the right of my lane.
When I looked at the guy I saw that he had one of those Thunderstruck .22 magnum revolvers that fires 2 rounds at a time.
I didn’t see what ammo he was firing and didn’t talk to him, but Man, are those guns loud! The guy left soon after.

When I was leaving I commented to the range guys that I would hate to fire one of those indoors without hearing protection. Two of them commented on how every time someone brings one of these in to shoot it the report is very loud and that many of the people that bring them are new shooters and the noise scares the heck out of them.

I suppose two shots at once would do that. Reminds me of shooting a pin match where a buddy and I were messing around and shooting our revolvers. He was shooting a 44mag and I was shooting a 327, both with 4" barrels. I lost the match to him but only because instead of reloading after his six shots he pulled out his concealed carry piece and picked off the last couple pins, like I said we were messing around. After we got done shooting the spectators were commenting on how loud the revolver was and to my surprise were coming to me with my 32 cal to figure out what was making all the noise.

Apologies to the fans and owners but, the Thunderstruck is a solution in search of a problem.

I don't get the thrill of them myself

I feel the same, especially after hearing one at the range.
I did not see the man actually fire it so I didn’t see what kind of recoil or flash he experienced.

22mag out of short barrels is really really anemic too. 800fps isn't unheard of.

The blast and fireball must be pretty impressive, all the pistol .22mags I've fired were blasty....absolutely horrible without hearing protection on.

Id actually think going with a .22lr and hypers if you want that little bit extra, or a slightly wider cylinder and a 25 or 32acp might have been a better options. Not enough tube to increase velocity, might as well add some bullet weight

I enjoy unusual firearms. I admit to be interested in one of these. Saw one at my lgs but I didn't want them to laugh at me behind my back.

and 22 mag is just too darned expensive.

Exactly why I sold my Automag II years ago - the 4” and 6”. All the flame and noise for not much hit.

I like the .22 Mag and shoot plenty of it at my local indoor range.

Two at once? :what:

I’ll pass. Firing one at a time from a revolver is loud enough.

Stay safe.
The HRR 4” is a barrel of laughs at an indoor range with varmint load .22wmrf. Especially if get a lane where the lights are less bright.

Maybe I should take it with me tomorrow. :D

I bought a Ruger Single Six .22 mag/22 LR back in 1961. I've still got part of the only box of shells I ever bought for it.
I think I'll pass on this new critter.
