I guess. The Italian mag just says Made in Italy. American just says Made in USA. I think the American one came with the gun. The Italian one is glossier. The American is kind of matte. I don’t believe I ever had an issue with my American one, but I confess it hasn’t been used much. I load and carry the Italian.

They are Made in USA, at least that is what mine were stamped with. What is crazy is there was a gunbroker auction for two used magazines that just ended for $81, almost double what a new set would have been...
 
Are your mags in Ruger packaging? My LC9S came with a USA mag that was dodgy,I called Ruger CS for a warranty claim and requested a Italian one. They said OK and sent one,If I remember correctly they sent a prepaid shipping envelope to return the original one. If you do have a problem,I'm sure Ruger will make it right....Their customer service is one of the major reasons I own quite a few of their firearms.

I doubt they'd take them back just because they are not Italian. I haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm expecting American mags.
 
I just got mine in the mail. Ruger packaging but stamped Made In Italy. So I guess that means made by Mecgar which should be good mags.

Oops! Not made in Italy. Made in the USA. I should have had on my reading glasses when looking the first time. I still feel like I got a deal. Now if the BX-25 mags will get here I will have all my orders in.
