Anyone call Hodgdon and verify that it is no longer 16 oz?? Web site shows 1lb

That would be my thought as well. If website lists "1 pound", that isn't 14 oz. And all of it is being priced about the same....per pound.

Was going through some of our old reloading stuff, which among other things included 3 cans of IMR powders. Two seemed half empty, one full. Figured the two short cans had been used, but could not remember what we would have loaded with them, and neither was on any loading data for shotguns or rifles we loaded for. Then got to looking closer and 2 cans had "8 ounces" printed on can as to quantity. The other was a full pound. All three cans the same size. Probably hadn't used any of it.

That is strange. Powder isn't Girl Scout Cookies where they need to keep the price constant. Sell a pound and price accordingly, IMO.
It's the way they cover for inflation/price increase. Most people associate inflation with higher prices, so they reduce the amount and charge the same price. Getting less and paying the same price, is still a price increase.

It's an anti-gun conspiracy! Anti-gunners, anti-reloaders, liberal Democrats are attacking every aspect of firearms. Gun powder containers will soon be regulated by capacity and background checks, smaller containers, and storage inspections/permits for every reloader. I read that paper targets are on the list with a specific limit on number of targets, size of targets, and colors will be regulated. Home bullet casters are going to need special Haz-Mat permits to deal with lead, plus OSHA mandated personal protection measures. Air rifles are slated to be on the list for background checks and a mandatory 10 waiting period, starting July 4th 2023. They are all against us and our sport...

J.K.!
I second your conspiracy... as a matter of fact I second all conspiracy

on a supply note: Guns are available again.

The term you're looking for is, "Shrink-flation." Have you bought breakfast cereal lately? The box is the same face size but so thin it can be shuffled in a deck.

Where ya buying plywood???

I bought 5 sheets of 7/16 about 5 weeks ago for $49.99. The following week I needed 1 more sheet and they got me for $56.99, a 15% increase in 6 days. I checked Home Depot before I bought it and coulda saved $3.00 a sheet. Not worth the 3 hour drive round trip
My good buddy lives in Southern Oregon and is a building inspector for a local county. After the fires last fall he said the rebuilding efforts are nuts.

Sheets of 7/16 chipboard are running between 55-65 bucks a sheet if you can find it, true plywood is non existent and roof shingles/bricks/cement/concrete/mortar mix is sold on a waiting list. Contractors are sometimes going to Portland, Redding, Sacramento, Seattle etc. to try to get materials.

Double whammy of massive local demand and COVID supply chain interruptions.

Stay safe.

My sympathies to those who lost and gratitude to those trying to rebuild. There, but for the Grace of God, go I…

Just a few evenings ago over a few beers with neighbors we were talking about concrete (we covered lumber a few nights ago) and the increase in concrete cost. Heck, a mere few years ago I added a garage 24' wide by 36' deep and I don't even want to think about what that building would cost today. Glad we got that done! :)
