Wanted to compare my 2 rifles. Ammo was CCI maxi mags hollow point. 50 yards. A little bit of wind. The CZ wins IMO.
Ran some accurcy testing. CZ 457 VS Marlin XT22 WMR.

They look pretty close, the next time you go out the Marlin could take the win!
My buddy has a CZ 455 in .22 mag that seems to shoot pretty good, it helped convince me to buy a 457 in .22 lr last winter. I've got a Marlin 883 that I'm very happy with. I've found mine is very picky about ammo, it likes Maxi Mags, does OK with Federal 50gr JHP, and I have some Federal 40 gr FMJ's that it consistently shoots sub MOA at 50 yards. But with anything under 40 gr the groups open up to 2-3" at 50 yards. I mostly shoot Maxi Mags because they're easy to find and what I use on groundhogs, and they still group about 1.5"-2" at 100 yards with just a little drop.

Looks good bassjam. Im planing on running my Marlin XT 22lr and my savage A22 target this eve.

My 452 has yet to outshoot my old 25N which is the predecessor of the XT-22 though it’s a thin margin and both are .22lr There’s such a lack of quality WMR ammo that finding the optimum round may never happen for either rifle.

I remember they day when Ruger didn't know how to make barrels. They had others make them and boy I had some doozies.
