I left a message with Hodgens, see what the tech say. Maybe they changed recipe or something
I'm betting it's okay. I went downstairs (where my loading bench is) and checked the bottle of Universal I bought early last year. It's exactly like yours - brown, and hardly has any smell to it at all.
I'm glad you posted this though. I've been using Unique since I can't remember when, and only bought that bottle of Universal because it's all I could find. If I'd have opened it up before seeing this thread, I'd have been upset thinking I had a worthless bottle of powder.:(

Same, I bought this mid-2019 or late. I have Universal marked 2016 and it’s a whole different color and smell, Yes, I smell my powder!

Hmmm. I guess my Universal was made in Australia. I bought 10 lbs. in 2016. Fist just one pound, discovered I liked is so I I bought 2 pounds a few months later, then stumbled on some on sale and bought 8 pounds. Been using it in all my handgun loads...

I like Australia powder, not sure if Canadian know how to make podwer

I had to look up Poutine. Never heard of it.

Turns out I've eaten it, but not under that name.

We've always called it french fries and gravy.

But then I'm just common folk.
That’s funny! I have to say Canadians can cook good! They have good french food like Poutine (and it’s cheese cured, gravy, and fies) and Smoked meats! YUMMMMM

I still think they can’t make good powder!

Yeah, we had some fancy meals in Italy, France and Germany when we were there something like 35 years ago - french fries with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese, french fries with brown gravy and squeaky cheese curds, french fries with mustard and horseradish sauce, french fries with eggs and hog jowls, and the most disgusting of all I had in Belgium - french fries with mayonnaise...:barf:

Every place where they grow potatoes has some kind of french fries - sometimes they're baked, fried, shredded and sometimes they're mashed up and rolled into balls, then boiled - smothered in some kind of sauce. Whoop-d-doodles.
