Have any of you had trouble with Talon grips not sticking good with the new 2.0 rough texture? I got an M&P 45 Compact 2.0 and I'm trying to keep from sanding it with sandpaper like I did my full size 2.0. Its a great gun but the texture is eating up my skin on my hip. With the 2.0 texture being so porous , I'm wondering how well the Talon grips will stick and stay put.. Any information is appreciated.

I've used Talons on every gun I have that will accommodate them, and I've never had a problem with them adhering properly. The trick is to clean the grip well with alcohol prior to applying them, followed by the hair dryer treatment to "set up" the adhesive. I've used them on countless guns with varying texture, but can't speak for the 2.0 in particular. I'd give it a try...the most you'll be out is ~$20.00. Good luck.

Thanks ! The M&P 2.0 texture is very porous so that is why I am asking. I have some Talons ordered. Hopefully they work. If not then I'll sand it.

Please let us know if the Talons work. I have the same issue with my new Shield Plus. Great grip texture for my hands, but uncomfortably itchy against bare skin when carrying IWB.

The Talons just here here yesterday in the mail . Tomarrow I'll apply them and let you know

I couldn't wait. They got here and I went ahead and put them on. They are great ! I'm letting them dry over night so they will set up nicely. I did trim them around the top part so they wouldn't cover the smooth part of the frame near the slide-stop. Here's the pictures of my frame .....

Looks good! How does it feel against bare skin? Do they still offer as good a grip in the hands as the stock grip surface?

It feels great against bare skin because this is the rubbery type of Talons and not the skate board type. I have the same ones on my CZ P-07 and they have held up great and they dont bother my skin.
