Just wanted to let people know that I just had a very good experience with Henry Rifles warranty service. Bought My rifle in 2014 last week at the range I noticed a small problem starting to occur. I quit before it became worse. Went to Herny's website clicked on Contact us. A window dropped down and I clicked on Warranty Service filled out the form and the very next morning I received a UPS shipping tag and was given instructions as to what to do. Sent it off that afternoon. It arrived at Herny's warranty service. On the page I filled out the form. I was given Status reports on my rifle's progress. Was informed it could be several day's to over a week before it was fixed. UPS delivered my rifle yesterday. The rifle came back with the part replaced, in a new box, packaged like a new rifle and it even had a new Owner's Manual in the box. Didn't cost me a dime. Gone just a week, including shipping time. Never spoke to anyone was never asked anything. Great Service.

wow sound amazing, what a great service!
if you reduce the human factor, you increase productivity and customer satisfaction. that's interesting

It's good if you live in the USA. Not so much if you're from abroad.
I have an issue with the rear sight on my Henry Golden Boy .22. It shoots low and didn't seem to have any means of adjusting it. I sent pictures and a query to Henry asking about adjustment. Seems it was missing the notched ramp (stairs). 'We'll send you a complete sight for free.' Wow. Awesome, I thought. Then it was 'Oh, you're in the UK (yes, I said that in my original email) - we can't ship due to regulations.' So after a bit of back and forth getting nowhere on trying to find out what these 'regulations' were (EAR? ITAR? Doubtful.) I suggested they were sent to my girlfriend in Washington (state) and I'd collect them at the end of next month when I'm out there (my work means I'm in the USA a lot). Not a peep by way of reply.

OK, I thought, let's try the online warranty route - nope.
"Please note that this online warranty service system is for customers in the United States only. International customer tickets will not be approved. ...
For repairs in all other countries please contact the dealer where the firearm was purchased."

I bought one of my two Henrys from a dealer that went out of business a few years ago. So basically the lifetime warranty is worthless on that one. And worthless on the .22 as a private sale.
I tried contacting them via their Facebook message thingy too. No reply.

So it looks like I'll have to buy some TruGlow sights or similar off eBay or Amazon - I may as well get something better than original if I'm having to reach to my own pocket.

I'm just glad nothing has gone wrong (fingers crossed) with my Big Boy .45 because then I'd really be stuffed.

Contrast this with Pietta's response to a 25 year old 1851 Navy black powder revolver I was having issues with. I had to replace the worn out internals with one of their parts kits. Upon fitting it turned out the trigger was too long and jamming up against the rear of the guard. I emailed Pietta to find out why I was having issues. Turns out during the 25 years past that they had slightly changed the profile of the trigger guard. Without me even asking they immediately offered to send me the new style guard, back strap, grips and all the required screws. It arrived five days later. Now THAT'S service.

Pieta is a European company with a US presence. Henry is a US company with no UK or EU presence. I don't think it's really a fair comparison. When you cross sovereign borders, and especially anything related to firearms, there's a whole lot of complications that can get in the way.

Henry is impressive on every count. I thought it was some gimmick novelty knock off company when I first saw them years ago, bought one in 2016 because the marlin I intended to get was poorly made. I've never been disappointed in that rifle , it's beautiful , well made and accurate. I couldn't ask for more and I still love that rifle above all others. Glad to hear their service is as good as their rifles!
