M1 Carbine Load

For my M1 Carbine I use 115 gr hard cast bullets with 15 gr of H110.

For my Blackhawk I use 125 gr hard cast bullets with 14 gr of H110.

First 5 round test with 14.0 gr IMR 4227 functioned well; but was smutty, so I think it’s not quite hot enough to seal the chamber.
I’ve got some H110 now loaded with small rifle primers. I’ll see how that does tomorrow.

Happy New Year!!!!!
May we all find all the powder and primers we need in 2022!

The following is from the US Army's 1993 version of:
ARMY AMMUNITION DATA SHEETS
SMALL CALIBER AMMUNITION
FSC 1305

Screenshot_20220101-004605_Drive.jpg

It shows the powder charge as 13 grains of WC 820 (but it also shows a picture that looks a lot more like a 9mm Mauser than a .30 Carbine to me, so maybe the Army forgot everything they used to know about the round o_O ).

25 yard test today with 14.0, 14.5, 15.0 hrs verified what nearly everyone said.
.308 110 gr round nose (Sierra #2100)
15.0 gr H110
SRP
1.680
Fit, function, poi all good with all 3 gr weights

Probably could have done better except for my weak right eye.
