I'm still kicking myself for not buying the one I had a chance at. Who knew that STI would be a thing of the past shortly after those came out.

Doesn’t matter. STI is now Staccato and even better! The Staccato’s are outstanding!

I don't think the new Staccato brand is better at all. They're still good quality, I have a Staccato P that just had a comp installed and it's fine. My beef is that the variety STI offered is gone. No hard chrome, no purpose built models like the Steelmaster, DVC- O, DVC-L. The XC is basically the same as the DVC Omni. I get why they had to change their business plan, but ehh. They lost their desirability in a lot of ways.

STI had a lot of issues in the past, particularly with magazines. I believe that’s just one of the improvements.

But to each their own. Good video by LAV on the company evolution:

True, STI is the only brand if firearm I've ever owned that could require "tuning" of the magazines..haha My Staccato P mags have been fine, it is a fine pistol and I definitely don't a difference in quality.

I bought a STI DVC 3-Gun before they lost their name. Great gun! have not had to tune my mags yet.
