Ready For Steel Challenge ( 617)

All set for this weekend's Steel Challenge match with my 617 and all my ammo to be loaded into my DS-10 speed loaders.

Well, I did pretty well. I came in first in C class shooting against all the automatics.

I blew the first 2 stages but started to come on to my own later in the match. I had some personal bests but Pendulum and Outer Limits need work.

Trying out some new Altamont grips instead of my normal Hogues, I got a good purchase on the gun but after the match I found that I was getting a blister on my strong hand thumb. Never had that happen with Hogues.

More research because I found my old grip draw and came out with a pair of Pachmeyer Signature Grips that I'm going to try next week. They are skinnier than the Hogue and Altamonts but do have finger grooves. They are wider on the bottom so my little finger should be able to stay on them better.
