Old enough for C&R licensee.
Maybe that’s what they had in mind.
True, but generally when people talk about a FFL, they’re referring to a retail dealer.FWIW a curio and relics license is still a type of FFL license…
Oh contacted the seller immediately. Was just curious how many people would notice the errorInstead of starting a thread, it would have probably been best to point the mistake out to the seller.
With that I am out of this b.s.
Type 4 has the mag drop safety, iirc started in late '25 or early 26. Type 2 had a barrel bushing (like a 1911). Can't see that so I'm guessing early type 3 (I have a late type 3 from 25; the 1903s are a joy to carry and shoot!).View attachment 1093111I have that same type but with much better bluing. I should probably know this but is this a type II or type IV? Can't recall........ 1918 manufacture I believe....
That will cost you about 35 bucks and about an hour or two of your time; SUPER EASY to get one! Go to atf.gov and download/request the forms. Simply fill them out, send a copy to your local Chief of Police / Sheriff for their records, and send it off to ATF with a check! They'll send back your license and the books of laws/regs that you'll need to be familiar with. You can easily sign up for ATf's email update list for new info. Well worth the time & money!Want a C&R! 15 more years and the good stuff will be able to ship to door

thanks for the list! They're good for 3 years. But be aware that they aren't a magic pass. There is a list of what you can and can't purchase and it doesn't get updated all that often. Here's the latest that last was updated in 2018: https://www.atf.gov/file/128116/download

Firearms become C&R eligible 50 years from their date of manufacture; "Firearms automatically attain C&R status when they are 50 years old. Any firearm that is at least 50 years old, and in its original configuration, would qualify as a C&R firearm. It is not necessary for such firearms to be listed in ATF's C&R list. Therefore, ATF does not generally list firearms in the C&R publication by virtue of their age." (boldface is original)thanks for the list!
Firearms do not need to be included on the list to become C&R eligible; "Firearms automatically attain C&R status when they are 50 years old.
