10/22 upgrades

BX trigger,auto bolt release and extended mag release. I also have a sling for it and soft case. That have Ruger 10/22 on it.

Old model with a refinished factory walnut stock, Shaw spiral flute factory contour barrel, and a wideview Redfield scope.



My other is a stainless version, about 20 years old. It has a Green Mtn .920 stainless barrel, volquartsen stabilizer, and a ghille green Hogue overmolded stock. No pics of it.

Mine is built to complete in a specific iron sights bench rest class that has to retain the factory bbl

Tech sights. Leather sling. Sporter stock model.

You are not done upgrading until you have replaced every factory part and spent over ten times what the rifle cost. You then must use the most expensive ammo

No... in my early days, it was putting on a bunch of aftermarket parts, including a carbon fiber barrel but then refusing to pony up for anything better than Remington Thunderbolt ammo.

Irishlad, some people might question the use of the lower priced scope, but the Simmons 4x is definitely my favorite in that price range (bushnell, tasco, barka, etc.). Less "tunnelly" and more forgiving eye relief than the others. I currently have a 1-4x Leupold scope on my primary 10/22 (used for plinking and small game), but I wouldn't feel too handicapped if I had to go back to a Simmons 4x.

...just don't use in on your 12 gauge slug gun (which my brother in law did after I lended him the scope for his .22). No longer holds zero.
