I really don't get the bdc on this. I wonder if the long range moa reticle from the 4.5-14 would have clashed with other product lines if they had went with that instead.
That us a pretty good price @CoalCrackerAl, the ff2's I've seen online are only a couple dollars cheaper in the same mag range. Reticle is a littleore complex but shouldn't take much yp figure out.
If I hadn't already bought another ff2 4.5-14x42 from a fellow forum member I'd have bought one to put on my 223 bolt action.
My 1st one was going to go on my .223. But it worked so well with my savage 17HMR it stayed. I think the new one im going to put on my RAR 17 HMR. I put a sight mark citadel on the .223. I bought it used for 100.00 with warne rings. https://sightmark.com/products/citadel-3-18x50-lr2-riflescope
The reticle is designed for the .22-250, so that's part of it being a little weird. With an app like Strelok, though, you can get an idea of drop and wind drift for your caliber. I wish it was one of the other reticles from them I prefer, but I got mine for like $175 so I can deal with it.
Ok dialed it in. The target was at 100 yards after getting it in. The top center is with my RAR 17 HMR on a rest. To the right i put a bi-pod on. Bottom is with my Savage 93 same scope as the new one. Im going to move the scope back on the RAR. I had to lean forward more with it. Ammo was CCI A17.
