Got lost in my man cave.

I intended on sizing and trimming if needed .223/556 brass only. Well then i figured why not prime them. That turned into loading them too. Good tunes were playing on the radio. So i cranked out some ammo. My wife asked if i got lost lol. :D
I used to do that. I created a station with old Gospel singers, old country and a little 60s and 70s rock thrown in. It helps me forget everything.
I miss my old gun room. It had everything in one room. The new place has storage in one room. Casting in a well ventilated sun porch. And reloading equipment in a walk in closet. I can't just isolate anymore...

I get my wife to join me. She is good at helping to crank out some ammo.

lol, my wife wouldn't even have noticed I was gone in an hour...

Same deal here. My cave is my garage and it sits back some from the house. Since neither my wife are I are getting around very well at this time I take my phone with me to save walking between the two for either of us. I take something to drink, use the phone to stream music, and sometimes stay there for hours working on some project. If she needs me all she has to do is call.

My wife has to know where I'm at all the time. Not because she doesn't trust me but because I have had some health issues for the last 5 months and keeps close tabs on me. My Achilles tendon bone spur operations on both feet I had back to back.
If she knows I'm in the reloading room/laundry room, the most she does is asks me to put the clothes in the dryer when the washer is done. Other than that I won't see her for hours.
She works at home so she's always there. She has no interest in reloading or shooting but doesn't impede me on it at all. In fact she supports me on it.
Although she really has no choice, when I proposed to her 43 years ago I told her I was a hunter, target shooter, and re-loader and she will have to get used to that if we are going to stay married. She said she had no problem with it and never has to this day.

I do get lost in my reloading room from time to time, but not when I'm reloading but just sitting there listening to my favorite music from the 60-70s and, well, maybe partaking of the Bird, a little.

Just when trying to escape life for a while. Not when reloading. I don't believe in drinking while reloading, but when I'm in there just trying to escape life... turn up the tunes and relax.

"The Bird" has been in every pic of my reloading bench I've posted here. Everyone around home thinks it has 9mm cases in it, or something. LOL.
Yeah, it happens.

I've got close to 750 square ft. of space under our 3 car garage with a vault door that's my reloading/gun room. I can even close the door and hit the panic button!

Unfortunately we have "landlines" in our house and the phones are intercom enabled...so there's no escape even when I'm in the "bunker". Normally I'm left to my own devices, I'd have my wife down to help, but that might involve some sort of exchange of services and I'm just not into quilting...

The "bunker" when built:

Boy does that sound familiar.

The reloading room is a separate room with barn doors at the back of the 3rd bay of the garage. If the in-house CinC (Commander in Chief) wants to speak to me all she has to do is open door into garage and call my name. I usually don’t have the music that loud not to be able to hear her.

I’m in the process of remodeling (somewhat) the reloading room. Yesterday I drilled a pilot hole through the wall into one of the basement rafters. Electrician coming over Wed PM to install a dedicated 30 Amp line to the room before basement gets sheetrocked starting Monday. That will give me another 2-4 plugs and will keep me from popping breakers during the winter when I’m running the small 1500 watt heater that keeps the room 70 degrees through the cold season.

Wed AM a vault door is being delivered. Will go into basement window via crane. Plan is to have walk in safe and panic room combined. Rebar reinforced concrete walls and roof. That will allow me to get rid of safe and gun cabinet in reloading room freeing up space for an 8 foot bench. Really looking forward to that.
