I stopped in the LGS to pay my annual tithe to the local gun club and obtain my new gate key today. Of course I had to look through the glass cases to see what he had and there lay a brand spankin' new 4 1/2" BlackHawk in 357.
I wonder about Ruger No. 1. When I decide to get one, I'm perfectly content buying an older one being resold, but based on what I've seen for years now, I wonder if they've been discontinued. Even in 2019, the only things I was seeing listed appeared to be production from several years earlier (NOS).
As far as I know they are doing limited runs as distributor exclusive to Talo or Lipseys in one specific caliber each year. If you want a specific caliber in a new rifle, you just have to wait however many years until that option is run again. And whoo boy are they expensive now.
Edit: looks like they might have changed that, Ruger currently has three different options available through Lipseys...257wby, 7x57, and 6.5cm.
