I'm afraid that for me, this image is the most moving and horrific:
It's of a 12-year-old Iraqi boy, Ali Ismaeel Abbas, who lost his entire family and both his arms when a bomb hit his home. The British newspaper, the Daily Mirror, has launched a major fund-raising effort to help him and others like him: see http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/allnews/page.cfm?objectid=12825212&method=full&siteid=50143.
I'm not citing this image to complain about the bombing: tragically, this was necessary, made so by Saddam Hussein's innate evil and intransigence. However, we need to remember the many innocent victims of this war. While we celebrate, they mourn. Let us not forget...

The funny thing is, over on Democratic Underground they're already trying to "spin" the top photograph, saying that the bearers are really praising the human shields and calling on the "US wankers" to go home. The bottom picture gives the lie to the DU lies - the banner carriers celebrating with US troops. So much for objectivity on DU...
