Astronomy has been one of my passions for over 40 years. I also enjoy horseback riding, mountain climbing/hiking, and playing tennis. Gun collecting is a fairly recent hobby, although I have been shooting for about 30 years.

Being the pretty much point-guy for Hurricane Katrina relief at church has taken up much of my time.

And I guess I like photography too :)

My other interests: Hunting, fishing, trapping, and any of the 19th Century American Wars. Especially the War of 1812, American Civil War, and the Spanish-American War. I also like to read about the First World War.

Numistamtics, with an emphasis on Confederate States of America currencey.
MIlitaria.
Knives, other weapons.
Hunting and Fishing.

I train personal protection dogs at cooperhaus kennels in san Jose.

I spend alot of time with my daughter and malinois dogs. My wife builds hospitals and stuff.

I hike, surf some and help out at the local VA. I also mountain bike and ride quads etc..............

My non-gun-related, non-hunting hobbies and my work are pretty much one and the same. I write and publish books about motorcycles and cars. I have written or co-written more books than I can remember, including:

"Complete Idiot's Guide to Motorcycles"
"Honda Gold Wing"
"BMW Motorcycles"
"Harley-Davidson Century"
"Billy Lane Chop Fiction: It's not a Motorcycle, Baby, It's a Chopper"

and several others on which my name does not appear, thankfully. I've just finished my first non-motorcycle book, a history of muscle cars (see tagline below) that hits our warehouses this week. If anyone is interested in a signed copy, contact me via private message.

I've owned over 20 motorcycles, everything from Buells to Yamahas. The last bike I had was a Victory Hammer magazine test bike. I don't ride as much as I used to (30,000+ miles per year member of the Iron Butt Society) because of injuries from a road-racing accident.

Otherwise my interests are family:

Aside from firearms and family time, I like:

Computers, from gaming to writing software.
Motorcycling, I currently have a 2004 Yamaha Road Star, and am itching for spring
Sci-Fi - books, movies, tv series etc.
Camping, hiking, fishing, anything out in the woods.

In addition to my interest in guns, shooting, hunting and fishing, I enjoy time helping in the American Legion, the rifle club I belong to, digital photography and traveling with my significant other. I also have a personal project of gathering up old computers when someone I know is upgrading. Rather than them paying to take it to the dump, I refurbish it, set it up with card games I've gotten off the internet and give them to "Little old ladies", as my dad says. I find the computer brings a glow back to an otherwise old timer, whose big three events for the day are breakfast, lunch and dinner ... maybe it's just that someone takes the time to come by to see how things are going. My cousin is a volunteer ombudsman at a local hospital. She finds the recipients of my refurbishments. We are talking 2, or 3 a year ... but, it keeps me off the range, and out of trouble. ;)

I love baseball, in particular the St Louis Cardinals, and the Rolling Stones are my all time favorite band.
I also enjoy history.

When not nursing an injury I like to run marathons, and I also really enjoying lifting weights. I spend a lot of my time reading philosophy and political science stuff, which is partly for my job but I do really enjoy it nevertheless.

My other interests include bass fishing, woodworking (mostly with antique hand tools - but I'm not a fanatic about it), and website development. I build computers for myself, my friends, and family.

I'm also a part time-antique dealer.

I collect antique staplers (here's my site).

Not much time for anything else; I travel worldwide about 50% of the time for my job.

Well, work eats up most of my time followed by school. For some reason I
love physical labor (perhaps because I'm trapped behind a desk so much).
I like to mow the yard, chop wood, and build fences and decks. I also weight
train when I can find the time.

Working on cars/trucks was a need that turned into an interest.
Riding/working on motorcycles was always for fun.

I collect gem stones and chess sets (I also play).

I like to read about A&P and Genetics and find the varied history of medicine
interesting.

....and of course shooting.

Yet another motorcycle guy here:

P4180054.jpg

Also a 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, as well as play in bands (guitar) and do some stage production work (sound and lights).

I guess I'd also have to count home improvement given the following effort has taken up the better part of the last two years of my life:

I do computer and eBay work for, well, work. Hobbies include machine tools/metalworking, collecting police flashlights, vintage computers, audio equipment, and gas-powered outdoor machines.

Blacksmithing, when time/weather allows.

Guitars.

Cooking.

Used to do Scottish country dancing, 'till my knees informed me those days were done.

And the usual.

Martial arts (mostly Silat these days), religion, reading, computers, collecting old swords, cooking, African and Afro-Cuban drumming, listening to the Blues, some stained glass.
