I named it after my best (somewhat anti) friend, and she is FLIPPING OUT!!!
Came with 2 30 round mags, one steel one plastic.
I dont know if all AR's are like this, but the trigger breaks like GLASS. And the upper seems heavier than other ones I've handled, so I'm guessing it has some sort of match barrel.
I've been playing with the action all day-- my fingers hurt...
Thanks Mom/Dad/Santa, and merry Christmas THR!!!!!!!
Turns out dad/santa was at the range and met a fellow hard up on his luck with a few choice pieces to offer
So when I tiptoed down the stairs this morning I found this clumsily prepared package:
Shoulda bought a gun sock, that stocking was a little too short.
Given christmas tradition, I had to shake it and guess what's inside.
ridiculous.
I also got like nine pounds of pasta. Why? I don't know, my family is weird. But the pasta pretty much sealed the deal.... this year gets MY vote for best christmas ever.
(gun and pasta)
Sounds like Santa (and Visa/MC/Discover) was busy last night! No gun stuff for me right now,but I got permission to make use of the Dan Wesson Custom Shop if and when it's up and running soon. Schweet.
BamBam,that's awesome! Personally I'm holding out for the PS3's price to drop, but I've played my share of Xbox. I did manage to wrangle Final Fantasy XII as an early Christmas gift back in October.
My Army soldier son home on leave from Iraq (THAT was the first blessing for us this Christmas) gave me a brand new Browning High Power Practical 9mm . I have always wanted a High Power, and he found it necessary to buy it for me this Christmas.
This year my Dad got me The Illustrated Directory of Guns by David Miller. My brother got me a set of Lee Precision 7.5 Schmidt Rubin reloading dies along with Lee case trimming gauges for both 7.5 Schmidt Rubin and 7.62 X 54R.
I was a bad boy and got my presents before christmas - but when your beautiful wife gives you a Gift Card to Cabela's, what can you do? I got a Springfield XD-9SC, a boatload of 9mm ammo, and an itchy trigger finger.
I gave my Dad my Taurus 605 as an early present along with holster, ammo, and some quality time at the range with it. He's never been an Anti, but he has also never owned his own handgun - we're having fun learning about our new guns together!
I got 1,000 rounds of Thunderbolt .22LR. A CED7000 shot timer W/ accessories. A RCBS electronic scale and a S&W M66-5 W/ 3.25" barrel. It'll go great W/ my P&R'ed 2.5- 66.
Had a great Christmas my wife got me a dvc camcorder. Been wanting to tape
our hunting trips (maybe the kids and furballs too ). Got myself a Ruger
.45LC SS 7 1/2" Blackhawk. Funny thing, I hadn't planned on getting it, but
was at Cabela's with a buddy and we seen it in the showcase...... all alone ,
whats a guy to do? Now its with a family that will give it a happy home!
Brought the wifea peach colored male Chihuahua, she about fell over , she was so
happy! Bet I could even get another shooter now!
My stepdad gave me the first firearm he's ever gotten me, a Savage Mark II .22 bolt action. It's very nicely balanced with the synthetic stock. I really love this thing. I've wanted a basic .22 bolt action for a while now, especially with some irons, and this fills the bill nicely. I was utterly shocked, as this was way out of left field.
I've just found out that the buttpad can be removed and the inside is hollow (instead of filled with the support structure, etc that they often are). It's not empty any more! Little sheath with band-aids, neosporin ointment, spare ammo, matches and dryer lint are now inside. Also a AAA mini-mag and some light cord. Handy dandy backpacking rifle now!
Here's my Marlin 22 magnum bolt action courtesy of Santa. I also got a bushnell 4X scope and 100 rounds of ammo to go with it. This should be a fun rifle to just go out and mess around with, who knows, might even cap some prarie dogs.
I've always wanted a 22 magnum, I think its a neat little cartridge, accurate and flat shooting too.
